Frequently Asked Questions

What is AAU Elite Cheer?

AAU ( Amateur Athletic Union) Elite Cheer is recreational competition & performing cheerleading squads with opportunities
for athletes of all ages, in all skill levels. AAU events are held throughout the country, including local competitions, invitationals,
District Championships, and National Championships.
Our Lux 16  Elite Squad will compete in approx. 3-4 competitions & 1-2 parades,
our Celebrity Elite Prep, a non-competition squad will perform in 2-3 local exhibitions  & 1-2 parades and our Diamonds Novice team,
a non- competing team will perform in 1-2 exhibitions and 1 parade during the season. 

Is there cheer tryouts for recreational cheer?

Yes, Our tryouts are scheduled in May before our 2021 Summer Fall Cheer season begins. Our tryout
clinic are typically 3-4 days long @ 2 hours a day. Cheerleaders will have the opportunity to join us to learn
1-2 cheers , jumps, stunts and a short cheer band dance. ALL Cheerleaders will make one of our
cheerleading squads based on age first then skills.  This is an opportunity for junior cheerleaders to
experience cheer tryouts and start preparing for middle school or  high school cheer.

What is Cheer Friday?

Cheer Friday is our open gym day offered one day a week on Fridays. This is opportunity for
​cheerleaders to practice independently on thier skills. Whether they want to brush up on thier 
skills or want to master thier skills, our staff is there to monitor & help give advice to each athlete
if they want it. 
​

What is Spirit Squads?

Spirit Squads are junior cheerleading squads for that cheer for shorter term seasons from 1 to 3
months long. These programs are offered in temporary various locations such as Elementary
Schools, Middle Schools &  parks & recreation centers. If your cheerleader would like to tryout 
cheerleading without having to commit to a longer season, spirit squads is a great place to start!

Can I stay & watch practices?

Lobby- The lobby is currently closed to spectators, and our daily cleaning schedule is robust. We are excited to welcome our community in person when we are able – until then, you can rest easy knowing we are doing everything we can to keep our athletes safe while they’re here!
